I think we’re in an agreement. In that quote, I was simply describing the phenomenology of secular monastics.

This is good: “Since every moment in time is unique in that the universe was never and will never again be in the same exact configuration as it is in this moment, and that the universe is unimaginably large compared to us in all dimensions, nothing that happens in anyone’s life can be typical.” This can be what deep meditation reveals.
